The motif is Ukiyo-e paintings from the Edo period to the Meiji period. However, the flashy colors are far from the Ukiyo-e of Japan at that time. Among the oriental Japanese patterns made in the 1950s, shirts printed with Kabuki actor paintings enjoy this are extremely rare, and the sense of color used in America at that time is also highly interesting.
