    Obituary reads:
Comedian, singer and night club owner Cozy Morley died this week from an illness. He was 87 years old.

Morley owned the in-demand Club Avalon in North Wildwood for many years. Morley performed stand-up comedy, music and vaudevillian variety shows at the club. He also attracted performers such as the Glenn Miller Band and Johnnie Ray. Morley also performed a popular rendition of “On the Way to Cape May,” a summertime anthem for the Jersey Shore.

Club Avalon later turned into Westy’s Irish Pub. A life-size statue of Morley was erected outside Westy’s back in 2003
