More information about In Favor of the Sensitive Man and Other Essays by Anaïs Nin

Anaïs Nin, the internationally acclaimed writer, is supreme known for her Diary, which has been called one of the outstanding literary works of this century. Here, in more than twenty essays, she shares her exclusive perceptions of people, places, and the arts. The collection also includes several lectures and two interviews.
In the opening group of essays, "Women and Men," Anaïs Nin provides the sensitive insights into the feminine psyche and relations between the sexes that have become a hallmark of her work. In "Writing, Music, and Films," she speaks as artist and critic- in book and film reviews, an essay on the composer Edgar Varése, a lecture on Ingmar Bergman, and the story of her printing press.
In the final section, "Enchanted Places," Anaïs Nin records her travels to such exotic destinations as Fez and Agodir in Morocco, Bali, the newly-released Hebrides, and New Caledonia, and she concludes with a charming vignette, "My Turkish Grandmother."
