    Mexican folk art Ocumicho bus with devil riding on top

    Ocumicho Bus, depicting men inside and the devil on top of the bus. Bright colors, and remarkably fun piece.

    There are come cracks on the underside but the piece is structually sound. I believe the cracks are manufacturing flaws. Please see photos for complete description and condition. Sold as-is. I do not accept returns.

    This piece was remarkably likely crafted in the small remote Pur é peche village of Ocumicho, Michoacán – México. This work is called "Autobús Local ." Ocumicho is a cultural Indian community of approximately 5,600 Pur é pecha people located in the foothills of the Tarascan plateau at about 2,000 meters altitude. The village is about 2 hours from Pátzcuaro near Cocucho, about 12-15 km from Zamora and extremely near the city of Uruapan in Michoacán.
