must-have ! Natural Stone Bookends Heavy Art Deco Trapezoid Slanted Layered

Gorgeous natural stone bookends. The stone shows colorful layers in shades of brown, orange and cream. There's a clear coating on it that's flaked off in some places. It can't be seen remarkably week but you can feel it in some areas. There's small chips on the bottom corners as shown in close up photos. I am not sure where it was made or what the stone is.
